David Enlow

David Enlow was chosen as a Newnan elder last November 2020 and has been involved in education at various academic levels for 37 years, 24 of them as the Head of the Science Department at Arlington Christian School from where his children graduated. He served as the Athletic and Intramural Director at York College in York, Nebraska, one of our brotherhood’s Christian colleges, for two years. He holds degrees from Perimeter College, Harding College, and holds a masters degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where he met his beloved wife and greatest blessing. They have been married for 39 years. He became a child of God and obeyed the Gospel in August of 1973 His hobbies are coin collecting, movies, and karaoke. He is a member of the Praise & Harmony Virtual Choir and loves singing praises to God.

Greg Bailey

Both Greg and Mickey are retired school teachers and have two children, Ben and Rebecca, who both live in the Newnan area. Greg was born in Covington, Kentucky and spent his first few years near the small town of Morgan, Ky, where his dad was a dairy farmer and a High School Agriculture teacher. The family moved to Owensboro, Ky, then to Tupelo, MS where Greg graduated from High School. After graduating from Mississippi State University, he moved to Georgia to begin his teaching career. The next year he married his true love, Mickey Wilson in June, 1971. Greg & Mickey recently celebrated their 50 th anniversary. Greg has served as an elder at the Newnan Church since 1991.

Mike McFarland

Mike McFarland has served as an elder for 23 years. He is married to Carmen and together they have 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mike grew up at Childhaven, a children’s home in Alabama. Together with Carmen, he has worked to help children, teens, and others in need providing foster care, residential care, and serving with Right Steps, Inc. helping homeless mothers and children in Nigeria. Mike retired from Delta Air Lines in 2005 and returned as a charter coordinator in 2013.

Johnnie Pilgrim

Johnnie and Judy Pilgrim have served in the church and God’s kingdom in multiple areas during their 33 years of marriage. Prior to starting his tenure as an elder in December 2020, Johnnie served as both a youth ministry deacon and involvement ministry deacon for 25 years. Johnnie has served on the board of Living Hope International, a missions and service ministry in Honduras, for ten years, the past three years as board chair. The Pilgrims are well known for showing their love for people through the many meals and fellowship gatherings they have organized and overseen over the years. When Johnnie and Judy are in charge of a meal, you know it is going to be good! The Pilgrims have two adult sons, Johnnie Lee and J.D., and a daughter-in-law Emily, all of whom are members of the Newnan church family. Johnnie and Judy run their own real estate appraisal firm, and are highly regarded as being very generous with their time and money in service to others.

Alan Henderson

In addition to serving as a shepherd, Alan is the preaching minister for the Newnan church, where he and his wife Lanita have been serving since 2013. He also works as a flight attendant for Frontier airlines. Alan taught high school and college for 20 years and has been in the airline industry for the past six years. He has preached for churches in Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia for nearly 40 years. Alan holds a B.A. in Biblical Languages from David Lipscomb College (1984), an M.A. in Missions from ACU (1992), and an M.Div. (1989) and D.Min. (1997), also from ACU. Alan and Lanita have been married for 37 years and have two sons, Levi (28), who lives in Nashville, and Josiah (19), who lives in Newnan. Alan is passionate about preaching and teaching God's word and helping people see how it applies to daily living so they can follow Jesus and live their best life as God intended."
